DHS Analyst Scenario You are an all-source intelligence analyst assigned to the Office of Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The director of the DHS has instructed your office to gather information critical to understanding the activities of the global al-Qaeda network and the current group leaders. Your team was instructed to focus on the networks’ operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

There has been a spike in activity in the last few weeks; however, it is unclear what is occurring. III. Analytic Techniques: In this section, you will discuss the analytical techniques that you plan to use for analyzing the data and information that you will receive. A. Identify the raw data analysis techniques that are most appropriate for analyzing the data that the collection methods and sources will yield, and explain how the techniques will be applied. B. Explain the advantages and disadvantages of the raw data analysis techniques and structured analytic techniques that you identified. D. Defend why you selected each raw data analysis technique, including how the information gained will help support you in answering your information requirements.
