Introduction:
As a supervisor in charge of hiring a new coding staff member, it is important to carefully review and assess each applicant’s qualifications and experience to select the most suitable candidate. In this situation, we have received two resumes and must evaluate them based on the provided criteria.

Question 1:
Which resume most impressed you the most? Explain why.

Answer:
Candidate A’s resume impressed me the most. The resume is well-organized, easy to read, and succinctly highlights relevant skills and experience. Additionally, Candidate A’s work experience directly relates to the position requirements, specifically in coding and healthcare. The resume also includes specific examples and metrics, demonstrating their ability to work efficiently and accurately.

Question 2:
Based on the results of your rating score grid, indicate the candidate you would call for an interview. Explain why.

Answer:
Based on the rating score grid, Candidate A received a score of 13 while Candidate B received a score of 8. Therefore, I would call Candidate A for an interview. Candidate A demonstrated relevant coding and healthcare experience, specific examples of successful tasks completed, as well as strong organizational and analytical skills. These qualities align with the job description and make them a strong candidate for the position. Although Candidate B presented some relevant experience, their resume lacked specifics and did not demonstrate a thorough understanding of the requirements or duties of this position.
