After reviewing the two articles by Connelly (2014) and Green (2014), it is clear that theoretical and conceptual frameworks are crucial in guiding research studies. In the field of medicine, these frameworks help researchers understand complex phenomena such as patient experiences, healthcare practices, and disease processes.

In my proposed study, I have noticed that several theories have been cited, including the Health Belief Model and the Social Cognitive Theory. These theories provide a framework for understanding patient behavior, including their beliefs and attitudes towards healthcare practices. Additionally, the Biopsychosocial Model has been frequently cited as it considers the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to an individual’s health.

Based on this evidence, I constructed a conceptual map using Microsoft PowerPoint. The map includes the key concepts related to my proposed study, such as patient behavior and healthcare practices, as well as relational statements that describe the connections between these concepts. Overall, the use of theoretical and conceptual frameworks is essential in guiding medical research and providing a deeper understanding of healthcare practices.
